VIETNAMESE-BORN HOLLYWOOD STAR, LANA CONDOR IS TRAVELING BACK TO HANOI

Lana Condor is traveling around Hanoi, enjoying the popular specialties of the capital.

Vietnamese-American actress Lana Condor returned to Vietnam on 14th November, reunited with some friends and enjoyed a variety of delicious food in Hanoi. Instead of taking a taxi, the movie star ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ rode a motorbike to visit the old town like a local. In the photo, they check-in in front of the Hanoi Opera House.

During a walking tour of Hanoi, the Vietnamese-born actor visited Tran Quoc Pagoda – one of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam, located on the romantic West Lake. This is the third time Lana Condor has returned to her hometown, the last time was in 2019. The Vietnamese-born beauty ate bread and visited Cai Rang floating market (Can Tho).

A special stop of Lana’s journey to experience is a poor hamlet along the Red River.

“I met this lovely woman yesterday and took a picture. She welcomed us into the house she has lived in for the past 30 years. The house has bamboo walls and a thatch roof. Her husband and wife grow bananas and papaya for sale in the market. It was the freshest fruit I’ve ever tried. She was so kind and welcoming,” Lana said.

The actress born in 1997 also tried bun cha. “Bun Cha consists of grilled pork belly, served with vermicelli and the best dipping sauce you’ve ever tried, besides a lot of green vegetables and herbs,” Lana introduced to fans.

Closing the discovery journey on November 14, she sips a cup of egg coffee – a famous specialty of Hanoi.

Lana has a passion for noodle dishes such as noodles and pho. She posted a picture of a bowl of Hanoi-style chicken noodle soup and called it ‘monster pho’. Hanoi Old Quarter is the ideal place to eat this dish with many long-standing traditional shops. Sweet broth, tender chicken, add a little lemon, chili to taste.
This time to Hanoi, Lanar Condor chose to stay at a famous hotel on Ngo Quyen Street. The hotel is a hundred years old, has welcomed many world-famous politicians and stars.

The last time Lana Condor came to Vietnam was in 2019, accompanied by former US First Lady Michelle Obama, first daughter of former US President George W. Bush – Jenna Bush Hager, stars Julia Roberts and Ngo Thanh Van visited Can Giuoc High School (Long An) to share stories related to promoting education for girls.

Lana Condor was born in 1997 in Can Tho, spent the first months of her life in an orphanage with the name Tran Dong Lan. She was adopted by the American journalist couple and brought to live in New York. Lana studied dancing and acting. She is famous for her roles in the movie ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ as the mutant Jubilee, the lead role in the teen romance ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ aired on Netflix. She has won awards at the MTV Movie & TV Awards, the MTV Movie & TV Awards and the “Next Generation of Hollywood” award given by the Association of Hollywood Critics.
